Road safety concerns us all. From June 22 to June 25, 2026, the Warnow Tunnel will be dedicated entirely to road safety prevention and education. During this year’s Road Safety Week, informative exhibits await you on the grounds in front of the Customer Center—making a quick stop at the Warnow Tunnel well worth your time.
Test Your Skills: Simulator and Reaction Tests on Site
How quickly do you react in emergency situations? And how does a vehicle behave when the driver is under the influence of alcohol? Find out! We’re bringing top-notch partners to our site to turn theory into thrilling hands-on experience:
- The BADS Driving Simulator (June 22–25, 2026): Throughout the week, you’ll have the opportunity to try out the driving simulator from the Federal Agency Against Alcohol and Drugs in Road Traffic (BADS). In a controlled environment, experience firsthand how much distraction or substances can impair your ability to drive—an absolutely eye-opening experience.
- Verkehrswacht Tessin-Sanitz e.V. (June 23–25, 2026): From Tuesday through Thursday, we’ll also welcome experts from Verkehrswacht at an information booth. Using a modern reaction-time testing device, you can put your reflexes to the test and take home valuable tips for everyday driving. “Drunk goggles” blur your field of vision, simulating the effects of intoxication, and demonstrate the devastating impact on your senses.
Small gifts and important tips as you pass through
We’re also taking steps to ensure your safety right at the toll lanes. As you pass through, you’ll receive our tunnel safety flyer to keep in your glove compartment. This compact guide refreshes your knowledge of proper behavior in the tunnel—for example, what to do in the event of a fire or a traffic jam.
A New Face at the Exit: Oskar the Otter Beams at You
Our popular mascot is getting a beautiful new display on both sides of the toll station. Starting June 22, Oskar the Otter will shine in new splendor there and bid our drivers farewell with a friendly smile as they continue on their way. He’ll also be delivering an important message about road safety.
