78.000.000 TUNNEL PASSAGES

Since 2 p.m. yesterday, the 78 millionth tunnel driver has a face and a name. Mr Mickael Vannucci was just on his way to the Rostock Port and suddenly became the next jubilarian at the toll station.

It hits you when you least expect it. The native Frenchman was driving through the tunnel to start his late shift at the Liebherr company, as regular during the working week, and was extremely surprised by this coincidence. No wonder, as his passage through the Warnowtunnel was one in a million, just since the beginning of December. “Unfortunately, I don’t have much time, I have to go to work.” With consideration for the customer’s time constraints, Mrs Yvonne Osterkamp, Managing Director at Warnowquerung GmbH & Co. KG, presented a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a small otter cuddly toy, an Amazon voucher worth €100.00, a petrol voucher worth €50.00, the 25th volume of “Rostocker Panoramen” by the author Helmut Aude, as well as some other gifts. After a short interview, Mr Vannucci set off to arrive on time for his shift. Through the Warnow Tunnel this is no problem, as it takes him only 7 minutes from his home in Groß Klein, as he said in farewell. He uses an Oscard to drive through and would like to visit our customer centre soon to have his windscreen fitted with an RFID strip again, as this is an even easier solution for him.

We would like to thank Mr Vannucci very much for his regular use of the tunnel and wish him and all tunnel drivers a good and safe journey at all times.
