Next Sunday, 18.05.2025, the Warnowtunnel will once again be filled with the sound of a loud engine orchestra. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride will once again find its way to Rostock and will also visit the Warnowtunnel on its route through the city of Rostock.
What is the Gentleman’s Ride? This great event takes place all over the world at the same time. Bikers from over 100 countries come together locally to ride in motorcycle parades through well-known cities, draw attention to the important issue of men’s health and collect donations. An important distinguishing feature is the traditional suits, which turn the participants into real gentlemen and gentlewomen, as well as the predominantly older motorcycles. The main sponsor of the event is the British motorcycle brand Triumph. However, all brands are of course welcome at the events.
The Gentleman’s Ride is becoming increasingly well-known and popular. Over USD 50 million has been raised since 2012. This year alone, almost 93,000 participants are registered worldwide (as of today). There are currently 71 riders in Rostock. One new feature this year is the new starting point. The parade will set off from the beautiful banks of the Warnow at the city harbor and travel through large parts of the Hanseatic city. The stage finish will be Warnemünde, before returning to the city harbor after a break.
